Our Vision

Pimpinicchio New York was born from a collision — the quiet beauty of Spoleto, Italy, and the relentless energy of New York City.

Founder Francesco Pimpinicchio trained at the Academy of Costume and Fashion in Rome, learning the language of craft from the inside. He worked alongside Versace, Gucci, Vivienne Westwood. He understood what luxury was supposed to look like. Then he decided to build something different.


The Person Behind the Brand

Growing up, Francesco faced bullying for his dyslexia and his identity. He learned early that survival requires either a thick skin or a strong shield.

Pimpinicchio New York is the physical manifestation of that strength. Every asymmetrical line, every chain, every piece of hardware is designed with intention — to make the person carrying it feel protected. Untouchable. Themselves.

When you carry Pimpinicchio New York, you are not just carrying a bag. You are wearing your resilience.


The Design

We design bags like armor.

Not soft, accommodating, apologetic bags. Architectural ones. Bags with edges, with structure, with a point of view. Shapes that don't ask for permission and don't explain themselves.

Every piece is designed in New York City and built from bio pineapple leaf leather — a material made from pineapple leaf fibre, an agricultural byproduct that would otherwise go to waste. No animal hides. No virgin plastic.

We manufacture in China with a production partner who meets our standards for quality and construction. We say this openly because transparency matters more to us than the story that sounds better.


The Code

We reject the idea that luxury requires suffering.

We do not mass produce. We create in small, intentional batches — because rarity should be earned, not manufactured. Every piece is made with care, with precision, and with the understanding that what we put into the world should be worth being in it.

For every bag sold, we plant a tree through our One Tree Planted partnership. Because what you carry should leave the world better than it found it.

We are LGBTQ+ owned. We stand for the people who were told their style was too much, their identity was too much, their ambition was too much.

This is not a brand for everyone. It was never meant to be.


Where We Are Going

We are a young brand. We are still building — the collection, the community, the infrastructure. We make mistakes and we fix them. We are honest about what we do not yet know how to do perfectly.

What we are certain of: the design direction, the ethical commitment, and the conviction that the people who need this brand will find it.
